A Fortunate Beginning

In the aftermath of Hurricane Iniki in 1992, a remarkable story began. Just one month after welcoming his newborn daughter into the world, owner Philip Davies was walking with his family in Kilauea when he made an unexpected discovery – a $100 bill among the debris. This lucky find became the seed money for what would grow into Kailani Farms, named lovingly after his daughter.

What started as a modest venture growing organic greens for local restaurants and farmers markets has blossomed into a thriving 30-acre operation. Today, we're proud to be one of the largest producers of turmeric in the state of Hawaii and a leading supplier of premium salad greens to restaurants and health food stores across the island of Kauai. Our signature ginger and turmeric products are distributed throughout the United States and Canada.
